Testing training in a human factors engineering setting is a gray area with very little guidance. Though the FDA's Human Factors guidance document addresses knowledge testing, the information is only a paragraph in length and leaves a lot of room for interpretation.
For example, have you ever wondered about the decay period between training time and human factors validation testing? Or perhaps your project team has difficulty understanding whether or not you should test trained versus untrained users, and what the reasons are to test or not to test both groups.
This webinar, referencing AAMI TIR49:2013, Design of training and instructional materials for medical devices used in non-clinical environments, will address ten of the most common questions related to training.
